Armed with a BS degree in Biology acquired at Union College in Schenectady, NY, in 1988, Thomas S. Muzzonigro, MD, FAAOS, attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York, and received his medical degree with honors and distinction in orthopedic research in 1995. He then continued to serve his internship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA, where he remained to conduct his orthopedic surgery residency (1996-2000). During his residency training, he served as Chief Resident (1999-2000) and clinical instructor. In addition, Dr. Muzzonigro received board certification in orthopedic surgery from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. A fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, he is also a member of the American Association of Hip & Knee Surgeons, the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, and the Allegheny County Medical Society. Past president of the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society, Dr. Muzzonigro is the chair of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons’ Board of Councilors (BOC). For more information about Dr. Thomas S.
